If you have been following the website for a while, you will know that last summer I made a very enjoyable visit to the down in Bedfordshire.

 Pages Park Station

You can read more about the visit that I made to the railway by reading my previous post by clicking here.

Also, the video that I made of the trip is also included lower down this page if you would like to see the engines in steam, and some of the views from the route.

Anyway, It is great news to read that work is progressing well on the new buildings at Page's Park.

The old station building was emptied over the Christmas break and has now been demolished.

Work on the new building is already under way, and at the end of February the local MP Andrew Selous paid the railway a visit and can be seen below laying a few bricks.

The Museum Gateway Project, will give Page's Park a new station building based upon 1870's designs. It includes some roof brackets from the original main line station which was demolished in the 1980s

It will be great to see how things are progressing as the year goes by. We look forward to getting some pictures of the new building when we visit again around summer time.
