The line runs from the village of Fairbourne to the mouth of the Mawddach estuary, where you can get a connecting ferry to the town of Barmouth.

On arriving at the railway, you walk through the small museum, which houses locomotive ‘Beddgelert', this is a locomotive that is currently awaiting overhaul.

As the first train of the day had already left, I saw locomotive ‘Russell' preparing the train for its first train of the day.

At the Barmouth Ferry station there is also a café. The café serves hot and cold snacks, along with great views of Barmouth Bridge.

After lunch in the Café, Sherpa arrived at Barmouth Ferry Station. Also at the same time, if you enlarge the picture, you will see Arriva Trains Wales Class 158 slowly approaching Barmouth Bridge with a service to Pwllhelli.
