Full Description
The Severn Valley Railway held its Spring Diesel Gala on the 15th- 18th May 2025 and saw no less than 20 locomotives taking part in the popular gala.
Visitors were both heritage and modern in the form of Class 37706 (from West Coast Railways), RailAdventure Class 43s, 56094 and 56113 from Colas Rail, Class 57 No. 57003 from Locomotive Services Group, 66509 and 70020 from Freightliner, 69014 from GB Railfreight and 58023.
These joined the home fleet to haul an intensive timetable, locos from the home fleet included 3 Class 50s, 40106, 37263, 33108, 2 Class 52s and Class 20s.
This 3 Disc set includes onboard footage, footage from the lineside and all stations, as well as Kidderminster Diesel Depot and Carriage Shed tour.
With the landslip closing the line between Hampton Loade and Bridgnorth, we also see the shunts needed at Highley to make sure trains could pass here.
