Full Description

Between the 19th and 21st of September, the Epping Ongar Railway held its Annual Steam Gala, and for 2025, the gala had a Southern theme.

The railway welcomed 34072 ‘257 Squadron’ and 926 ‘Repton’ from the Swanage Railway and North Yorkshire Moors Railway respectively and also welcomed 3781 from the Watercress Line in Hampshire. The visiting locomotives joined 4953 Pitchford Hall to operate trains over the weekend.

The gala featured an intensive timetable, which saw trains operating between Ongar and North Weald and onto Epping Forest.

Look out for the express train as well as a brake van ride. This DVD features around 60 minutes of footage from the gala.
