Where on earth is all the cement going if we have stopped building houses in order to push their prices up to be quite unaffordable these days! Ref’, (Very long mortgage repayments)?😟

@nostalgia There is still a lot of building going on in the UK, there is 1 to 2 thousand tonnes coming out of the cement factory on a daily basis, just think how many wagons have been taken off the roads with all these cement trains.

@Mike_Ashworth, Yes, Our road network barely copes even without all that important rail goods movements! And its amazing how many long Tesco trains and others go by too? And stuck behind a heavy lorry on a hill on them old ‘A’ roads years ago? With a mile long tailback!
