A nice bridge setting! Is the waterfall an overspill from a canal?

Clive, the waterfall that you see in the photo is from a stream that spring from the hills above Llangollen. There is a canal nearby, but it is at river level and behind the camera. The canal is actually fed from the river (at the Horseshoe Falls) just a few hundred metres to the west of this location (OS ref SJ195433). The photo was taken…

Engine No.7 arriving at Devil’s Bridge from Aberystwyth on the scenic Vale of Rheidol narrow gauge railway.
Currently bearing no nameplate I used to know the engine as ‘Owain Glyndŵr’. The engine was built in Swindon Works in 1923, was withdrawn from service in 1998 and returned in 2018 after being restored.
