No Blue sky to be seen, just a stunning Blue Locomotive!

Peppercorn designed A2 Class, 60532 Blue Peter is the last surviving member of its class. Pictured at Aisgill on the Settle and Carlisle Railway whilst pulling the Fellsmen from Crewe to Carlisle in truly horrible weather for taking photos.

  • Morning 3 of the The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Steam gala

Former LMS Ivatt Class 2 41241 seen running light engine from Haworth to Keighley station in readiness to pull the Goods train out of Keighley. She made a spirited get away on this foggy morning. The fog, the steam and the sound all made for a wonderful spectacle.

    • I very much like the shot of 78022 and 52044 – some great steam on that image.

Looks like a great day out with nice weather.

  • An unusual visitor to Hellifield Station. Due to a section of the West Coast Mainline being closed for a bridge replacement, some services are using the Settle and Carlisle Railway as a diversion.
Avanti West Coast Evero’s 805007 + 805002 are pictured gliding through Hellifield, running 4 minutes behind on the 1Z34 1019 Carlisle to Wigan North Western.
