‘Spot’ (The Heron’s) long family tree goes back to the division of the species for this young birds recognition of steam passing by? A short hop from the river! I like picture (3) with a young looking fireman gazing from the footplate! (Discoloured exhaust suggests there were two fireman on the footplate? The engine was a transformation to its Converted form! It looks and sounded good! As were the train’s coaches? As it nears the estuary and the South Devon coastal Sea! I would pound this stretch with Western Prince n co in 1965! (the new diesel hydraulic)
