(Creatures as big as steam engines)
8-30 am, Drink tea! Window view of rooves thick with white frost! A Sun lifts from the easterly horizon to a blue sky! But its 1960? I’ve already dug our engine out of shed and created some sense of order? And for the last 2 hours we have battled the lines of the ”Jurassic” coastline cliffs! (Lines closed down and gone now)! We slip with little traction in the usual places! I bless damp sandbox sand and climb down to the bottom steps of our engine doing 5 MPH, With my dear old Driver wagging the regulator like he was conducting some philharmonic orchestra? We follow behind the Jurassic coastline where land ends in 100 foot cliffs, And huge broken sea creatures re-emerge with every cliff fall! A billion years ago and its very dangerous to venture out to sand the rails! Or even fetch the early morning news paper! When prehistoric creatures were as big as Steam engines!
