Sorry I’m late, I got distracted by a 1937 celebrity.
Yesterday’s visitor to Chester was none other than LMS Black Five No. 45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’. Watching this 89-year-old masterpiece power through the station on The Cheshireman tour was the absolute highlight of the weekend.

Went to see 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley arrive in Chester last night with the Settle & Carlisle Fellsman courtesy of Saphos Trains. I’ve never seen the station so quiet before, which made for great photos!

How odd, may have been because it was so late. I saw it pas through Winwick, and it was the busiest line side I have seen in a long while.
