5 weeks agoOther Railway Adventures (Its a small world)! When Oliver Bulleid was apprentice to Henry Ivatt (Ivatt would build my favourite 41 2Mt branch engine)! Oliver would marry Henrys daughter! And when he retired to the south Devon coastal town of Exmouth, Until 1967 he must of visited Exmth jct shed to see his old Merchant Navy fleet surely? Oliver died in Malta but his wife came back to Devon and died in Okehampton! I only mentioned that newly opened line recently? So health permitting if i should go there i shall not look for Oliver Bulleids wife grave! But Henry Ivatts daughters grave! It really is a small world!
