(Headache or migraine)? Recent picture of 6990 Hall me n driver took to scrap along with 6916 in 1965! And smoke box shed plate (think) read 82E? But that Barrow road shed number became 22A in late 50s? Plus we took it from St Phillips Marsh (82B) in 64? So an American singers? lyrics of ‘Like a bouncy ball, She come bouncing back to me’ come to mind! My unknown birds had a bath it seems! A dramatic apparition! (the ‘ugly one’, And ‘The owl n the pussy cat’ went to sea’ for the older Rail Advent member? (With even the youngest retiree to pay tax come 2027 it seems)!!

I remember back in 70’s going to my mate’s before school and helping to fly and feed his Kestrel (sometimes the cat would join in), it would often climb high in the sky, surprising the old pigeon, then over the road to school and watching the fireless steam engines in the coal yard at the local power station. Then in the 80’s being accused of plagiarising the book ‘Kes’, ion English, until I explained only a few years earlier I was flying a Kestrel.
