Imagine the smooth running of today’s rail traffic! People were tossed about in a coach on a badly rutted road to London, Behind a team of four or six flatulent horses! The intermediate way would be the passage over the English channel by Hovercraft, That I would often take before the tunnel! The gentle glide over the beach, But cresting the waves at speed meant grab safety rails even in the toilet! An interesting event! But i wont dwell there? And then the Channel tunnel itself! Sat in your car or coach for 3/4 of an hour in a wagon! (drinking tea)! And then the Boeing 707, or later the DC10 would fly the Atlantic, All this in a couple hundred years? Well, Not quite? Who invented the Wheel?
