(Nostalgic) But must be said) Dos Castles (I’ve a small place in Spain so i must practice the lingo)! So i get to think of my cleaner to firing days and sat on my eight wheel banker discussing the latest Cuban crisis when in comes King Edward or King Henry the V1 whose driver navigates red cow crossing and i always get a wave .from its driver! We are boiler first but Western stuff the other way round!! So i get to thinking how do todays dos Castles get turned at Plymouth? Because they come back boiler 1st? Ive done that way on diesel, And early sixties the old Southern route over Dartmoor wilderness! With a 37 sort or 22 class diesel if not Maunsell!. A bit of rail has been re-opened to Okehampton though! But the young boy that took my photo on said 22 class emigrated with his mum n dad to the other side of the world in Australia! We still communicate! Of course a decade before Armstrong n Aldrin walked on the moon the first Warship or was it Western diesel would turn up! And modern diesel would dare cross the Red Cow of St Davids! Ere drive, Come n take a butchers at this i cried! Start of a new era? We had a 70ft turntable on 72A, But not needed in this modern age! Until Dos Castle Heritage turn up? Then what? If western end of Southern old route was still available then maybe they might do a 3 point turn? Lol.
TaylPSteam, David Spencer and Michael Ashworth-
Cant Edit out half that stuff i write now! (With this new system)? Think what i tried to say was how do Steam tours turn engines for their return from Plymouth!
