(The name)? V/W vans i spose? The young man who drove one might call you ‘Man’, Maybe puff a little happy baccy and would have a missus with flowers in her hair! My Ivatt or the 82 3MT would have a long train of low loaders packed with a multi coloured rainbow vans, All for conversion! But then the trains of carriage wagons that cooed you along! Thousands and thousands of racing pigeons! All released in a quiet siding by the river! One didn’t make it? So i took it home! Its owner via the NURP wasn’t interested? And one day of our pleasant relationship it come home with another ringed bird! Eggs produced and numbers grew to 18 in all? So then i take the eggs away! New fluffy heads want corn! Loads would make home under old railway arches! Bridges! Leonard Cohen sings bird on a wire? Wonder if he got a V/W van? Like the canal narrow boat, Its good to go off somewhere occasionally! Somewhere quiet, and the canal waters flow only competes with the restful mind.
