(Braunton runs through Dawlish cams from 11-45am to 12 noon approx’ today 17th May) The outcrop of rock partially seen on the Blenheim cam looking west was called ‘The Parsons nose’ in Victorian days! So Brunel’s tunnel cut through the cliff face would be called Parsons tunnel! And its nice to see a picture below of the old 1000 (Blue) diesel hydraulic (62)? I would once ‘man’ (work) this sort from Bristol Templemeads west on Maroon coloured Westerns Hero, Cavalier, Legionnaire or Prince? A lovely run on hitting the sea cliffs on a nice day! Certain runs would be long remembered!! And this was certainly one of them! The old 1000 Western would work hard!
