My Blue Pullman pics a washout! But an earlier venture to Exeter Central to see Bahamas hauling the very long Atlantic coast express! I arrived at the gate to see many others turned away by staff, A short chat of Central station back in 1959, 1960 got me a conducted tour and an empty platform to myself! No table with a nice coffee? But a choice of spots! I chose the old water column area, The Old 34 Bulleids would stop on a sixpence for watering! Merchant Navy sort off for a swop over! I can think of no better than Bahama sort for such a prestige event. It ran through then tipped at an alarming rate down the steep bank! (Glad now that i went)!
