There is a nice exhibition at Clitheroe Castle stewards gallery about the late Ken Roberts who was a keen B&W photographer of steam using film cameras. It’s well worth a visit and its free!

Ah brilliant that man! The times i go out over that? Late 50s early 60s it never seemed strong enough? Big heavy Maunsell, and 40 ton wagons of stone? snaking away! The lighter 31874 on Swanage, The 92 n 257 squadrons etc all pounding over! This is close to Meldon quarry! And its a long way down!! Its a bike or walking viaduct now! I wonder…
