Some photos taken at Carrog on the Llangollen & Corwen Railway over the weekend of the recent Branch Line Gala held 11-13 April 2025. A key attraction was the visit of 4-6-0 “Betton Grange”, the construction of which began at Llangollen. The sight and performance of the loco was a great credit to all involved in its construction.

“The Mancunian”, a special train promoted by the Railway Touring Company took passengers from Manchester Victoria to Holyhead on Saturday 1 March 2025. On the return journey the train halted at Delamere Railway Station, situated between Chester and Northwich, for the loco, Black 5 45212, to take on water.

I just missed it here as it headed to Holyhead, I used to live in Northwich, and had never visited the station. It has a fantastic and busy café, I just wish more steam excursions passed through.
