Flying Scotsman Bury 2026
It was a quiet first day as Flying Scotsman appeared at Bury. It got busier, as I left at Lunchtime. A party of Dutch shared the platform at Rawtenstall with me. #feature

@Mike_Ashworth zilch, free, and over the road from the best breakfast I have had in a long time. On the Dutch, before retiring from broadcasting , I spent a lot of time there. Northern Holland is Easy on English, it’s a lot harder in the south.

@johns I can speak a bit of French, German and Italian, but I find Dutch impossible as it starts off easy but then starts to sound like Welsh. What sort of broadcasting was you doing?
