What are these?

On August 17th I took these images while traveling through Carlisle. I must admit if its not steam, I am lost. They did look abandoned, perhaps they are? I know they are class 321s this built in 1990?

The summer lack of steam service has left me not posting or filming.
I went to Horwich to see a stalwart of mainline operations 45212 pass through. This engines future is very uncertain, but hopefully we will see it under steam again in future years.

Thats Sod’s Law I try to mitigate by being on the same platform or shooting from a higher point, but things can change at the last minute and you get blocked

I had ( on my birthday) put of lot work in planning today, after a long lay off, I was hoping to shoot two mainline steam specials. Blus Peter and the July 1st "Fellsman".
60532 Blue Peter captured at Frodsham in Cheshire as it headed for Carlisle. Wigan North Western was the location for the return run to Crewe.

Short Video
I personally hate shot video, and it is becoming very popular. We do not see in ‘portrait’, and how difficult is it to turn your phone 90 degrees!

Hi John it’s really straight forward to turn a part of a long form video into a widescreen short video, on an iphone select the image that you filmed in widescreen and duplicate it then go to this duplicate and click on the crop icon, then at the top of the screen you will see an icon with four arrows click one on this and the image rotates 90…

Blue Peter - Wigan North Western 1st July

Travelled to Wigan North Western last night. Annoyingly the train was assigned onto Platform 1, to allow a Lumo to pass. This was my first sighting of the new blue trains ( I know, but I was not trying too hard).
However, even without lots of steam vapour, Blue Peter still looks far superior to its modern versions.

Blue Peter - Frodsham

Not being out for a few weeks, but headed to the lovely Frodsham Station this morning to see Blue Peter as it headed for Carlisle.
The train was far too long to fit onto the platforms at Frodsham.
I will be off to Wigan tonight to capture the return.
