My girlfriend & I were on that train on Thursday. It was my girlfriends 1st time being on the mainline pulled by a steam locomotive.

For both of us it was the 1st time on the Settle to Carlisle line, the weather let us down big time though, but what can you do.

I must admit the train staff were fantastic too.

On the way back at Preston station, someone was invited into the drivers cab, when trying to get into the cab they dropped their mobile phone, then tried to get it back with the train still in the platform.

1 of the train staff spotted them & shouted at them to get back, then some station staff went along too, between the 3 of them they get them out of the way. thankfully for them.
