On the buses
A little break from trains today, helping refit the steering on a 1960s Dennis Loline III bus in a barn in rural East Hampshire. Started the day with it up on blocks and me lying underneath replacing split pins to lock crown nuts, and finished with it fit to go out on the road. I got to sit in the cab for a little while (holding the steering wheel in the right position while someone else bolted things together). Quite Spartan compared to modern buses – not even a fuel gauge.
