• Because it is half term and I am off school for a week me and my dad thought that we would have a day out at East lancs railway with 34092 City of Wells and Peak nom 45108 for a change because

      As you might notice on the two trains there is a wreath. Because the station/Ticket master Graham Law has died. Over Christmas due to having a heart attack while he was serving someone a ticket and he just collapsed so they had to take him to hospital to check his heart. So yes is the 1st ticket master that has sine 2020 has died😥😢 Saturday 15th February 2025

      • We had Peak diesel electric stuff on Bristol but they had 3 numbers, A short number as i recall Philip? I think they were Peak?

          • @nostalgia possibly right there, Clive. Diesels sometimes have D numbers, for example the Class 40 Andania currently carries number D213 🙂

            • @RailAdvent And them dark green warship sorts with a rounded bullish nose i would call the 800! They had three numbers, I would have to have time off to learn their train heating boilers, I like them! A real grunt inside their soundproof doors when opened up! They would have deadmans and good viewing of the road, The 800 was so different from the little 63 or 22 type i went to Plymouth Laira to collect! It came back over Dartmoor like a kangeroo, But that was my mates fault! So different to steam. Hope you well Michael!
