Kind of a Marmite loco – air smoothing loved by some loathed by others. I prefer the unstreamlined WC/BB locos – but still gutted I didn’t get to see her this weekend!!

Dont think i see this on here before? Its one of my old engines on 72A shed. Would often work the Atlantic coast express! and west coast trains.

Hi Clive, she looked lovelly in the early BR livery, much better than in later BR darker green. When did you retire from BR?

92 Squadron would stand (If not running through) just where that first blue car is parked! My photo shot is where it would take on water for Ilfracombe north Devon etc. Or when i got stuck in her tender or the porters cart fiasco! And she was my taxi in late 50s when i started as messenger boy come cleaner!
