I used to watch DC3’s at Leeds Bradford Airport (which we all called “Yeadon Aerodrome” locally) in the long gone BKS Airways livery. They were displaced by Vickers Viscount and Aer Lingus introduced the Fokker F27 Friendship. At age 11 upwards, I’d cycle 11 miles each way to watch planes.
