Hi Ian, I have just had a look on Real Time Trains and it appears to be Diesel Hauled fully on both the out bound service and it’s return service, as it shows that it is ‘Pathed as Diesel locomotive, trailing load 455 tonnes and Planned for 95mph max running’ .

If any part of this was to Steam hauled then it would indicate ‘Pathed as Diesel locomotive, trailing load 715 tonnes and Planned for 60mph max running’.

I hope that this makes it clear.

It’s a usually reliable indicator that any excursion running at 60mph is steam hauled.

I agree with @Mike_Ashworth but it does say ‘Pathed As’

This can change on the day or it can be steam hauled as well. There have beein times when 60mph pathing has been diesel hauled close to 90 mph. Just saying that the locos will probably be 57313/57601/57314 operating with 60163/34067 as the steam

Just chipping in here.

47815, 57314, 37706, (aside from 60163 Tornado) have been on recent railtours, so are a possibility.

47832 and 57010 have also been notes on “Light Locomotive Moves”, but I haven’t seen them recently on S&C Railtours.

60163 Tornado will not run it, because it is elsewhere on another tour. I see that it is a Northern belle run, so could see 57313 “Scarborough Castle” and 57601 “Windsor Castle”. These two did run recently on May 24th on a Lunch railtour.

It was 57313 and 57314, they kept them on the northern belle set from last saturday
