Does anyone have any update regarding the current situation of 35018 “British India Line”? I recall that it moved earlier this year on a ECS move or similar, but nothing has been mentioned since.

Just asking because it’s been quite a few years since I’ve seen it in person. Thanks all.

The only information I have is that it is likely at Carnforth Steamtown in Lancanshire

My understanding is that British India line along with Galatea, royal Scot and 44932 are all vacuume braked meaning that they can’t haul air braked coaches unless they have a diesel behind to do the braking. Carnforth’s set of vacuume braked coaches can’t be used on rail tours because there is a problem with the central door locking system but they can be used for private charters. The next appearance for British India line will be for the Greatest Gathering in August and it will also move there via the mainline. Hope that answered your question.
