How can they send out the tickets without confirming the timings? How can they hope to attract more punters on a cut-price basis if people do not know if the actual start time will not be even earlier than the provisional time? Surely they do not expect people to buy tickets while there remains the possibility that, after a booking has been made, the start time has been altered so as to make it impossible for a punter to get to King’s Cross in time!
Why still no times? I should have loved to be on this one but the starting time would almost certainly be impossible in normal times but is completely impossible with the reduced timetable into and out of London on Thameslink and Southeastern. If the starting time is made a little later, then this tour would have been possible with a normal service into London, but if the actual starting time is any earlier than the quoted provisional time, then it would have been impossible anyway. I realise that UKR has valid reasons for specifying this excursion with a start time that excludes some potential customers. Nevertheless, I am sure that I am not the only person who has been left bitterly disappointed.
