As of 21:54, 7029 as now left Warrington running roughly 3hrs 30mins late
As of 21:35, 7029 has been sat at Warrington Bank Quay for around 1hr 30min (arriving at 19:50). Going from Open Train Times, looks like all lines towards Crewe are still closed
AFTER waiting around since 17:00 at about 19:40 I was told by WBQ station staff it had been camcelled and was staying at Huyton overnight. I was also told the about to leave platform 4 for Liverpool Lime Street was the last train heading north for the evening, and from LLS I could catch a train north to my station on the WCML. So I boarded the train, which immediately left. The train was only two or three minutes out of WBQ when the southbound Clun Castle passes by. Finally get to LLS only to discover next northbound train is also delayed and I have another 50 minute. Plus I later discover the train I caught to LLS was NOT the last northbound train and I could have stayed longer at WBQ and got to see Clun Castle. Not impressed.
@19:00 train still sitting ay Huyton – now 1hr 42min late. WCML still blocked around Warrington Bank Quay.
As at 18:20 train is running 65 minutes late, being held at Huyton due to a trackside fire south of Warrington Bank Quay blocking the WCML.
Is it Clun Castle?
Is it steam or diesel hauled
If Steam hauled will be Clun Castle but may be diesel hauled due to fire risk.
