    Beer and Steam… Is that your idea of the perfect day out to celebrate Lancashire Day? Why not head down to the East Lancs Railway for their Rail Ale Trail.

    Walking Grade: 2 – Walking 10 – 20 minutes between pubs, walking on pavements and hills in local villages

    Activities and Services

    • Bury Bolton Street – Bury Transport Museum (with Castlecroft Café inside), The Trackside pub and The Buffet and Gift Shop. Bury Tram Station nearby
    • Rawtenstall Station – Buffer Stops Bar, Rawtenstall Café and Gift Shop


    Members of the East Lancashire Railway home fleet of locomotives will be in operation.



    Start at 10:30 am at Bury Bolton Street.


    Prices are £39.95 but include a return ticket, tour from a Blue or Green Badge Guide, a complimentary bottle of ale and a pub lunch.
