The North Yorkshire Moors Railway has big plans for the spooky and festive season.
For Halloween, they have their Mad Alice Ghost Trains, and for Christmas they have their Santa Express services.
The railway has added a brand-new service, ‘A Bloody Merry Christmas’, hosted by Mad Alice of the Bloody Tour of York.
The yuletide journey runs on the 5th and 19th December between Pickering and Levisham (and return).
The event has been described as a gothic Christmas atmosphere meeting a Victorian ghost story.

A wicked Father Christmas and twisted Bloody Sugar Plum Fairy will be making an appearance during the event.
It’s a great way to enjoy a festive experience with a twist, aimed at visitors aged 16+.
Tickets cost £35 each, with an early bird offer available and are expected to sell out fast, so early booking is essential.
Further information is available on their website.
“We can’t wait to welcome Mad Alice back for a wicked twist on the traditional Christmas experience this year with the Bloody Merry Christmas Express. We wanted to offer something that feels completely different to the traditional Christmas celebrations and excite visitors. From the moment guests step on board they can expect plenty of laughs and festive frights, all set against the atmospheric backdrop of the North York Moors.”
