BTP explained the incident, stating it occurred at around 6 pm after a Burnley v Notts County game on the 8th August.

Two groups encountered each other on the way to the station, with a verbal altercation that continued into the station.

Staff at the station attempted to keep the groups apart; however, several fights broke out, with the groups leaving upon hearing sirens.

The seven pictured may have information that could help with the investigation.

Should anyone have any information, they should contact British Transport Police on 61016, quoting 532 of 8 August.
