This Halloween, Hampshire-based railway, The Watercress Line, has created two fantastic spooky experiences.

The railway plans to transform itself for Halloween between the 29th and 31st October in preparation for guests to attend.

They are running a family-friendly event during the day and an 18-plus event in the evening.

For an immersive spooky adventure, families can attend the Halloween Witches of Watercress Woods for a fright-free experience.

On the adventure, visitors will find Hansel and Gretel and a witch that needs stopping.

Families are highly encouraged to dress up to make the most of the experience.

For those looking for something a little scarier, the Halloween Horror Train takes passengers on a Séance Train, attempting to break the veil to the other side.

Both events will have plenty of photo opportunities and refreshments.

Full information, including departure times and ticket prices, can be found on their website.

“Halloween is always a spookily atmospheric time of year for the railway, and this year we’ve got something for everyone – although definitely not at the same time!

“Families are welcome to join us during the day for a magical adventure through the Witches of Watercress Woods, while our evening Horror Train is strictly for adults looking for something considerably more chilling.

“Whether you’re dressing up with the children during the day or leaving them safely at home while you brave the spirits after dark, there’s plenty of Halloween mischief waiting at The Watercress Line.

“Just remember – once the train leaves the station, there’s no telling what might be waiting in the woods!”

Rebecca Dalley, CEO of The Watercress Line
