Cornwall’s Bodmin Railway is inviting visitors to its Spook Steam for Halloween!

The special events will take place during the upcoming school half-term break and will follow the Daily Steam service’s Blue timetable.

Fresh from hosting its Autumn Diesel Gala, which took place from Friday 25 through to Sunday 27 September, Bodmin Railway is now moving on to October’s highlight – Halloween.

The Spooks Steam services will depart from Bodmin General Station each day at 10:45, 12:00, 13:35 and 14:50.

The station will be dressed for the occasion, adorned with glowing pumpkins, autumn leaves, cobwebs, lanterns and ghostly decorations around the heritage railway surroundings.

The train’s heritage coaches will be decorated with spooky surprises, dangling cobwebs, bats and pumpkins, and the Railway promises some “eerie touches” for passengers to spot during their journey.

Children can pick up an activity sheet at the station to guide them through the journey and provide some extra fun.

On Friday 30 October, the Railway will be running an adults-only Monster Mash party train. The fun-filled ride starts at 6:15 pm, and the Railway is encouraging visitors to attend in a suitably spooky costume.

Tickets for all the Railway’s events and regular trips are available on its website.

As steam drifts across the platform and whistles echo around the station, our historic railway provides the perfect backdrop for a wonderfully atmospheric Halloween adventure for the whole family.

Gather your little witches, wizards, ghosts & ghouls and join us for some good family fun!
