The Lavender Line, based at Isfield in East Sussex, is saying farewell to the much-loved steam locomotive, Lady Lisa, which has been at the railway for the last four years.
The last day of service for Lady Lisa at the Lavender Line will be next Sunday, 13th September, before she moves to a new home at the Swindon & Cricklade Railway at Blunsdon near Swindon in Wiltshire.

A great vote of thanks has been expressed by the Lavender Line to Lady Lisa’s owners, Colin & Lisa, for allowing the railway to give its visitors the chance to create wonderful memories from experiencing the sights, sounds and atmosphere of steam.
For many years, Colin, a co-owner of Lady Lisa, has made a great personal contribution to the Lavender Line, both as a volunteer and Trustee.
Lady Lisa was previously named Yvonne, and is an 0-4-0 vertical boiler well-tank locomotive built in 1920 by Cockerill at Seraing in Belgium.

At one time, the Lavender Line was home to Class 309 electric multiple unit (EMU) No. 309624, before it was purchased by the Clacton Express Preservation Group.
