A severe and serious assault occurred on the 30th August at Liverpool Street Underground station.

A man remains in critical condition after the assault, and British Transport Police have been able to apprehend his attacker.

At around 10:51 pm on the 30th, officers and paramedics responded to the assault, where a man was found with life-threatening head injuries on the Central Line platform.

The victim, who is in his 30s, was given emergency treatment on site before being transferred to the hospital.

A man, aged 38, was arrested on suspicion of Attempted Murder on the 31st August and remains in custody.

BTP are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and help with the investigation.
