Following a grievous assault at Liverpool Street Underground station on the 30th August, a man was arrested in connection.

Jerimiah Maximo, aged 38, appeared in court yesterday to be charged in connection with the assault.

At Highbury Magistrates’ Court, Maximo was charged with Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH).

He was arrested on the 31st of August following investigations carried out by British Transport Police.

The 32-year-old he attacked remains in hospital in critical condition.

Officers are still appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
