ScotRail is repeating an offer introduced last October of a Family Pass to help families make the most of the school holidays in October.

Including last Easter, this is the third time ScotRail has made a Family Pass available, which provides unlimited travel for families on ScotRail services across Scotland for seven consecutive days.

Priced at £60 for up to two adults and four children, the Family Pass enables families to travel by train throughout Scotland on multiple days for one fixed price.

Journeys can begin on any day between Monday, 12th, and Monday, 19th October, and are valid for seven consecutive days up to and including Sunday, 25th October.

The only restriction is that everyone on the pass must travel together, must start journeys after 09.15 Monday to Friday and at any time at weekends, and cannot be used for travel to and from Lockerbie or Reston.

Also, the Family Pass cannot be purchased using a railcard, or in conjunction with other discounted fares.

Further information about the Family Pass is available at scotrail.co.uk/familypass, and the pass can be purchased from the same website, at ScotRail ticket offices, or onboard trains if ticket-buying facilities are not available at the departure station.

“Our Family Pass has proved a really popular way for families to get out and explore Scotland together during the school holidays, so we’re pleased to bring it back again this October. With unlimited travel for seven consecutive days, families have the freedom to plan several days out, visit friends and relatives, or simply decide where they want to go on the day. We want rail to be an easy and affordable choice for families, and the Family Pass offers great flexibility for making the most of the October break.”
