The Skipton East Lancashire Rail Action Partnership (SELRAP) has announced a change of venue for its upcoming members’ meeting on Monday 14th September 2026.

The new location will be opposite Skipton station at the Herriots Hotel, Broughton Road, Skipton BD23 1RT.

Theo Morgan Lundie will be the guest speaker at the meeting. He is an experienced campaigner for sustainable public transport and a PhD researcher from Lancaster University.

Theo has an interest in engaging local communities during the design process for integrated transport systems.

He will also discuss options to engage local and wider audiences with SELRAP who are unaware of the economic benefits of reopening the line between Skipton and Colne.

Theo is also researching how the Leeds University INFUZE (Inspiring Future for Zero Carbon Mobility) project can benefit rural communities across the North-West.

An update on progress by SELRAP over the summer months will be given by the executive committee. This will be followed by plans and initiatives for the autumn, which include a collaboration with Craven College students.

SELRAP believe this will be one of the most important members’ meetings of the year and encourages as many of its members to attend if possible.
