Dovetail Games has announced that the fastest-ever German Route is now available for Train Sim World 6.

The Schnellfahrstrecke Nürnberg-Ingolstadt route is out now and allows players to simulate travelling through the forests of Bavaria at 300 km/h.

Developed by Corin “Pilot 21” Sachse, it is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

Trains on the Schnellfahrstrecke route between Nürnberg and Ingolstadt travel for 90 km through the stunning countryside of Bavaria, where Train Sim World drivers will be tested by the route’s dramatic tunnels and challenging gradients.

Players can choose to control a red-racing-striped DB BR 403 ICE 3 travelling at 300 km/h, or take control of a DB BR 101 in weathered red on regional operations between München and Nürnberg at speeds of 200 km/h.

As well as two new locomotives and 90 km of high-speed line, the Schnellfahrstrecke Nürnberg-Ingolstadt add-on includes coaches and a driving cab car for the München-Nürnberg Express in matching DB red livery.

There is also a shorter route with many station stops on the Nürnberg S-Bahn between Nürnberg Hbf and Feuch.

For players who already own the Expert DB BR 101, Dovetail’s Add-On compatibility enables it to be used on the new Schnellfahrstrecke Nürnberg-Ingolstadt route, as well as many other previously-launched locomotives.

The first German route for Train Sim World 6 was the Frankenbahn: Stuttgart-Heilbronn Add-on, which was released last December.
