Services have been disrupted between Huddersfield and Stalybridge.
Emergency services have been attending an incident, and lines have now reopened, but the disruption will continue until around 12:00.
TransPennine Express services are mainly affected by this disruption, and services are expected to be delayed up to 60 minutes or cancelled.
Rail replacement buses have been requested, and ticket acceptance is in place for other TransPennine Express services, as well as for London North Eastern Railway, East Midlands Railway, and Northern.
