The Spa Valley Railway in Kent has released tickets for the Polar Express train rides that it will be running this Christmas.
The Railway hopes that this will give families preparing for their children’s return to school some festive fun to look forward to.
Spa Valley Railway’s Polar Express last year was so popular that extra dates were added after tickets sold quickly. The Railway is hoping for a busy season this year too.

PNP Events, Spa Valley Railway, Rail Events Inc. and Warner Bros. have worked together to create the Polar Express experience, which brings to life the film of the same name in what the Railway calls “the most charming and authentic way”.
The Polar Express will depart from the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells, Kent on selected dates between 7 November and 30 December.
Tickets are available to buy now, with ticket prices ranging from £39.95 to £73.95 depending on the date and time of the service chosen.
The Railway, which is currently preparing for its model railway show next month, is encouraging families to wear pyjamas on the Polar Express.
The train will be lit by lanterns, and during the one-hour journey, performers bring characters from the film to life.
The Hobo will make surprise appearances during the journey, and Santa and his elf assistant will move through the carriages and present each guest with a silver sleigh bell.
The train will return to Spa Valley Railway with enough time for guests to visit the gift shop. Five pence from each biodegradable carrier bag sold at the on-site shops will be donated towards the upkeep of Britain’s only free-ranging herd of reindeer, which lives in Scotland’s Cairngorm mountains.
All passengers will receive a souvenir golden ticket and sleigh bell.

This timeless story has been captivating passengers at the Spa Valley Railway for the past five years and this year will be no exception.
This enchanting and theatrical experience brings Chris Van Allsburg’s classic blockbuster film from 2004, THE POLAR EXPRESS™ to life on a magnificent steam train.
