On the 1st August, a man was travelling on a service from Manchester Piccadilly towards Chester.

British Transport Police have released CCTV images of a woman in relation to an incident which happened on board the service at around 11:25 pm.

As the service arrived at Warrington Bank Quay, a woman on the same service struck him in the face.

The object was sharp, causing a serious injury to the man’s eye. After the incident, the woman left the train and the station.

As part of the investigation, officers would like to speak to the woman pictured, as she may have information.
