Train operator ScotRail is preparing for a busy weekend in Edinburgh, with the city’s festivals continuing and Bon Jovi performing a concert.
The American rock band is currently touring in support of its new album, Forever.
The tour will come to Edinburgh’s Murrayfield on Friday, 28 August, at the start of what is also the final weekend of Edinburgh’s world-famous summer festivals.

ScotRail will add to its Edinburgh Festivals timetable by running extra services after the Bon Jovi concert.
Extra trains will run from Edinburgh to Glasgow Queen Street, Dunblane, and Dundee and Perth via Fife, following the show.
ScotRail is advising fans travelling to Murrayfield Stadium to use Haymarket station, which is a short walk or tram ride from the venue.
ScotRail will apply queueing systems at Haymarket to help passengers to get on trains safely.
The operator is advising people who have been to the concert to make their way to the station as soon as possible after the show and to follow instructions from staff.
There will be extra ScotRail staff on duty, who will provide information and assistance throughout the evening.
The operator is urging passengers to plan their journeys ahead of travelling, including checking their last train home before travelling. It is also reminding passengers to buy their tickets before boarding the train.

Edinburgh really comes alive during the festivals, and with Bon Jovi playing at Murrayfield on Friday night, we’re expecting the final weekend of August to be one of the busiest of the summer.
We’ve had an enhanced timetable in place throughout the festivals, and we’ll be adding even more services after the concert to help fans travel home.
We’re asking everyone travelling into Edinburgh to plan ahead, check their journey in advance, and make sure they buy their ticket before boarding.
Haymarket is a short walk or tram ride from Murrayfield, and queuing systems will be in place after the concert to help everyone get home as safely and smoothly as possible.
