Following on from its summer models, Bachmann Europe plc has announced three new tooling projects in its Autumn 2026 British Railway Announcements.

Class 37

The first project is the production of brand new models of the BR Class 37 Diesel Locomotive by Graham Farish. This will be the first time that the iconic ‘tractor’ sound will be available in N Scale.

The Class 37/7 ‘Heavyweights’ will replicate the heavy freight sub-class in N Scale for the first time. The model has been designed ‘from the rails up’, which ensures that it accurately captures the appearance of these refurbished tractors while also incorporating technology, including cab lights and optional SOUND FITTED.

BR 24.5 Ton Mineral Wagon

Another prototype that has not previously been available ready-to-run in N Scale before is the BR 24.5 Ton Mineral Wagon. Bachmann will offer both the Diagram 1/115 and 1/118 wagons, with buyers having the choice between fabricated or pressed steel side doors.

The 24.5T minerals were used for about three decades, and Bachmann recommends them for modellers from the 1950s onwards.

MLA Bogie Box Wagons

Bachmann branchline is reproducing MLA Bogie Box in OO scale. The wagons were built for GBRf, Network Rail and EWS, and are well-suited to be hauled by locomotives such as the Branchline Class 66s and Class 69s.

Also joining Bachmann’s autumn line-up will be new OO Scale models of BR Mk2A Coaches and SPA wagons from EFE Rail. In addition, the ‘Turbot’ Bogie Ballast wagon joins the EFE Rail range for the first time.

Earlier this year, Bachmann announced Turbostar DMU models in OO scale.

Bachmann is also producing re-runs of its popular Narrow Gauge OO9 Scale Quarry Hunslets, and has revealed new identities for the models. Both ‘Margaret’ and ‘Una’ will be available soon in OO9 for the first time. It is also producing two new RNAD vans, which are based on wagons at the Corris Railway and Statfold Barn.

Collectors Club

Also today, the Bachmann Collectors Club is launching its next limited edition model: the N Scale C Class locomotive in SE&CR Grey.

The new model depicts No. 689 in its wartime condition. During the First World War, the South
Eastern & Chatham Railway adopted a grey livery with large white numerals.

The new Club C Class locomotive is already in stock, with only 210 standard models having been made.
