Bank Holiday services are set to be disrupted while a range of work is carried out between Farnham, Alton and Guildford.

South Western Railway and Network Rail Wessex will be carrying out work to replace wheel timbers over the River Mole between Bookham and Leatherhead.

They will be making the railway more resilient against flooding, with work to refurbish the drainage systems at Effington Junction.

Ballast under tracks will be levelled on the Alton Line, with repairs also being carried out to Alton station.

Customers should be advised that between the 29th and 31st August, buses will replace services and should check journeys ahead of time.
