Due to industrial action next Friday, 10th, and Saturday, 11th July, London Northwestern Railway (LNR) services will be operating to a reduced timetable.
The industrial action is being taken by members of the TSSA trade union, and on Friday, there will be no services on some routes, and on others, there will be no trains after 7 pm, with the last London Northwestern Railway services departing by 5.30 pm.
On Saturday, some routes will again have no service, while on other routes, London Northwestern Railway services will not start running until 7 am. There is also likely to be some disruption to services on the morning of Sunday, 12th July, because some trains will not be in their correct locations to start their scheduled services.
A summary of the changes on Friday, 10th, and Saturday, 11th July includes one train per hour on the following routes:
- Birmingham – Liverpool.
- London Euston – Crewe.
- Birmingham – London Euston via Northampton.
- Milton Keynes – London Euston.
- Watford Junction – St Albans Abbey.
No other London Northwestern Railway services will be operating, including services between Stafford and Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent, and the Marston Vale Line between Bedford and Bletchley.
Further information about the effect on services is online at http://www.lnr.uk/industrialaction.
London Northwestern Railway services, as well as those operated by West Midlands Railway, were also affected by industrial action in May, and in 2024, the TSSA balloted London Underground staff for strike action.
”We are disappointed TSSA has called further unnecessary strike action which is set to cause significant disruption for our customers. We are working hard to reach a resolution to this dispute and urge TSSA to continue talks. We are sorry for the inconvenience this will cause our customers, and we are doing everything we can to minimise the impact as much as possible. If the strike action does go ahead, we will be running a significantly reduced timetable on both dates. Customers are advised to check before they travel by visiting journey planners and our website.”

Wonder what the Customer Experience and Commercial Director, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway and the Customer Experience Director, London Northwestern Railway are doing about it .. 2 Directors are obviously better than 1
