The East Anglian Railway Museum was set to host a Steam Day this weekend (2nd August), which allows unlimited rides behind a steam locomotive and offers a chance to visit the museum.
However, the decision has been made to run this with diesel instead, due to the continued dry weather.
There is a high fire risk in the area, and Essex Fire Service has advised the decision to help keep everyone safe.
