Network Rail has planned engineering works in Greater Manchester during August.

Passengers are being reminded to plan ahead while track renewals take place on the 15th and 16th August between Manchester Piccadilly, Rose Hill Marple and Hadfield.

Work is also set to continue between Manchester Victoria and Rochdale between the 10th and 14th August.

Buses will be running in place of trains between Manchester Victoria and Rochdale (10th-14th August), Manchester Piccadilly and Rose Hill Marple (15th and 16th August), and Manchester Piccadilly and Hadfield (15th and 16th August).

Train services heading into locations around Manchester may be amended.

Engineers will be working on a new turnback outside Manchester Victoria, which will provide more space at the station.

Further information can be found online.

“In recent weeks, we’ve started building a new turnback outside Manchester Victoria that will improve the station’s flexibility and reliability.

“We would like to thank passengers for their patience as we close the line to Rochdale again and continue our work upgrading Greater Manchester’s railway.”
